3D Model of the Sono Sion

3/21/2019 The 3D printer model of the Sion is here. Scale 1:29, 15 cm long, 7 cm wide, 6 cm high, from PETG plastics, weight almost 90 grams.

3/18/2019 Zipping the 70 MB stl file again without the other files and uploading the 30 MB zip worked! After uploading, material and color can be chosen. We chose Standard PETG, a robust plastic, in black, matching the original color of the Sion. The 15 cm (5.9 inches) long model altogether costs about 77 € (about 90 $). There were other plastics available, as well as aluminium, stainless steel and titanium. The price for PETG is in the medium range of plastics and this material seemed to be most suitable. Metal implementations cost several thousand euros (or dollars).
The order was confirmed, the payment made and now we wait for delivery, which should be in a few days.

3/17/2019 Sono Motors publishes a file for a 3D print of the Sion, which can be edited, if you have the according software and skill. →Sion 3D print
First, download a 30 MB sized zip file, in which a 70 MB stl file hides. This includes the 3D model. A further link on the model page of Sono brings you to a company which can perform the 3D print and ship it to you. Unfortunately, the uploading of the 70 MB file didn't work for us, maybe it is too large or our internet connection is too slow.
